Headlight restoration, $150 flat
Yellowed, hazed headlight housings cut back and resealed at your house or your parking space. One price for both headlights on any vehicle, from a compact to a full-size truck. Bookable by itself, with no detail required.
Why headlights haze in Atlanta
The clear housings on modern cars are polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. That coating is sacrificial: it breaks down under sustained sun, and once it goes the plastic underneath oxidizes and clouds. Cars that live outdoors here show it within five or six years, and it costs real night-time visibility long before it looks bad enough to bother anyone.
Restoration removes the failed layer and oxidized plastic, then reseals the surface. It is the same work whether the car is a sedan or a truck, which is why we charge one flat rate.
Questions
How much is headlight restoration?
A flat $150 for both headlights on any vehicle. Size does not change the price, and it can be booked on its own without any detailing service.
How long does it take?
Generally under an hour for a pair, done wherever the car is parked.
Will they yellow again?
Eventually, yes. Headlight housings are plastic and Georgia sun is hard on them. Restoration with a fresh seal typically holds for a couple of years depending on how much the car sits outside.
Do you replace the housing?
No. This is restoration of the existing housing, not replacement. If a housing is cracked or has moisture inside it, restoration will not fix that and you need a replacement part.
